The concert band has many accomplished players and one of the first initiatives that our MD Andy Townsend introduced, was to encourage small group playing within the band.  He felt players' enjoyment would be enhanced through listening and working closely with fellow band members. From this seed two ensembles have flourished, one within the Clarinet Section and the other from the Sax Section​.  Both ensembles meet independently on a regular basis and have gone from strength to strength.

Both the ensembles are available for hire, playing a selection of light classical, latin, swing and popular music.
